So, we had our first public screening on Friday 31st (that's right, the Halloween) at Pridi Banomyong Institute on Thonglor, as part of "Nothing to Say", an outdoor screening accompanied by live music. The event was organised by Thaiindie.
KIP went down well with the audience, despite the rain that started just minutes before our very own screening. We'll publish some photos from the event in our next posting.
A lot of people have asked me if it's OK for them to film someone else kissing (as opposed to them being the subject of the piece), by all means, yes! Remember also that the project is open to anyone, regardless of age, sexual inclination, or age. As a matter of fact, we'd like to see as diverse a group of kissers in the submission as possible! As someone beautifully commented, "I'd love to see a kiss from the 'golden age'- a beautiful generation who worked hard, paid tax, sent their kids to college, and kissed in silent."
So, no more lame excuses (I can't find anyone to kiss with!) from you filmmakers out there. Get your parents, grandparents, great grandparents, beloved neigbours, strangers, in on it and shoot away!
And to you folks in the US, go out and make History today!

KIP ได้รับความสนใจจากผู้ชม (สังเกตได้จากเสียงวีดวิ้ว)ถึงแม้ว่าจะมีฝนตกลงมาก่อนหน้าที่หนังเราจะเริ่มไม่นาน เดี๋ยวครั้งหน้าจะเอารูปมาลงให้ดูจ้ะ
มีคนถามเข้ามาเรื่อยๆว่าจำเป็นมั๊ยที่ต้องถ่ายตัวเองจูบกับคนอื่น ขอตอบว่าไม่จำเป็นเลย! KIP เปิดกว้างให้ทุกคนไม่จำกัดว่าคุณจะถ่ายตัวเองหรือผู้อื่น ไม่จำกัดอายุ เพศ วัย ศาสนา เชื้อชาติหรือเผ่าพันธุ์ จริงๆแล้วเราต้องการให้คนที่จูบกันมีความหลากหลายมากที่สุดเท่าที่เป็นไปได้ มีคนดูท่านหนึ่งเสนอมาว่าอยากจะดูคู่จูบ "เป็นคนวัยทองที่ทำงานหนักมาทั้งชีวิต จ่ายภาษีครบถ้วน ส่งลูกเรียนมหาวิทยาลัย ทั้งคู่จูบกันอย่างเงียบๆ"
ท่านทั้งหลายที่มาบอกกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "อยากจะทำแต่หาคนจูบด้วยไม่ได้" ข้าพเจ้าขอเสนอทางเลือกให้ท่านสองทาง 1. พาพ่อแม่หรือปู่ย่าตาทวด เพื่อนบ้านที่รัก หรือคนแปลกหน้าที่ท่านไม่เคยรู้จัก ไปจูบกันในที่สาธารณะแล้วถ่ายเป็นภาพเคื่อนไหวแล้วมาแบ่งกันชม 2. ข้าพเจ้าจะจัดคิวให้ท่านทั้งหลายเหล่านี้ได้จูบกันเอง ขอรับรองว่าจะไม่มีการรับติดสินบนว่าจะให้ใครจูบกับใคร!
พรุ่งนี้เป็นวันเลือกตั้งครั้งประวัติศาสตร์ของอเมริกา ขอให้ทุกคน (รวมทั้งพวกเราด้วย) โชคดี
